What is the Periscope Group all about?
The idea for The Periscope Group was formed in spring and summer of 2018 by three Manitowoc residents who shared a keen interest in local politics and events. The trio bemoaned the seeming lack of media coverage (and especially subsequent follow-up), public interest, and basic community awareness in Manitowoc happenings. The aim in forming The Periscope Group was to create a unique destination for thoughtful information and discussion. We envision the result to be part news source, part think tank, and part watchdog group.
